In 1982, Mark Raffel, a retail furniture store owner in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, began tinkering in his basement, embedding motors and heaters in furniture in search of ways to make products even more comfortable. His innovative and experimental spirit was the foundation of the company then, and it remains at the heart of Raffel Systems today. 

Since then, Raffel Systems has partnered with the world's most successful manufacturers to develop motion technologies, charging solutions, and comfort solutions for a wide variety of applications.
